Friday the 5th of October Mayor Patrick Moenaert inaugurated the state-of-the-art bicycle parking in the car park 't Zand. As of the end of November the bicycle parking will be open for the large public. The parking will be 24/7 open and has an around the clock camera surveillance. The innovative badge system gives access to the parking, the bicycle lift cage and the lock. The bicycle parking offers 164 places.
The parking will be for free, apart from an unique administration cost for the badge. There was a large interest for the bicycle parking already before the opening. It confirms what Interparking strongly beliefs: parkings are an integral part of multimodal transport behaviour.
